Preventive Dentistry
Preventive inspections should take place twice a year to prevent any tooth decay or gum disease. Regular inspection involves checking the status of oral hygiene, complete check-up of teeth and periodontal health.Once every 2 years, we make a set of 2 precautionary X-rays to detect the presence of tooth decay in interdental spaces of teeth and in lateral segments of both jaws.
As part of the initial examination and then biennially, a synoptical panoramic radiograph is taken showing all teeth, jaw joints and parts of the maxillary sinuses.
Pictures are taken on the latest digital equipment allowing instant display of images on a computer monitor while significantly reducing irradiation.
